DBLink

Curious if anyone can offer some help with DBLink. I'm trying to link to an Excel Spreadsheet. I've got a column with 100 rows, all numerical. When I update the link, Lyric gives me an error message stating:

Numerical Field Overflow
State:S1000,Native:-5017,Origin:[Microsoft][OBDC Excel Driver]

If there are numbers in the column, it doesn't matter how the column is formatted (General, Text, Number, etc), I get the error. However, if I replace the numbers with text, all is well. Any suggestions?

I figured it out. I had some of the numbers stored as text in the cells. Lyric really didn't like that, so I just converted the text to numbers. Problem solved.

I generally make all my cells Text format, with Numeric turned off in my template field. Saves lots of problems, like Excel wanting to turn a team's record into a date.
