Hi. I'm running a LEX with Lyric 5.25. I was wondering how to create macros to simply change the default effect to a wipe, and then back to "none", so I don't have to keep manually doing it. It doesn't seem that the normal macro interface records these changes. I'm guessing I'd have to delve into visual basic to make it happen.

Anyone have thoughts on this?

Thanks!

If you can possibly upgrade to 6.5 RU3 (current release), give that you have an active SMA and a donlge license, you can save various DEFAULT EFFECT configurations to LYR files, so that recalling a message can automatically switch FX on and off.

thanks, i will look into that. However, the company I work for will almost certainly be unwilling to spend any money on this.

Tell me what company. I can see if they have an active SMA which would give them the ability to upgrade at no cost, potentially.
