is there a way to interface the timers at a stadium to a timer in Lyric? We cover alot of High School Sports and I would like to be able to run the clock in our CG. These are not the most sophisticated score boards. I wasnt sure if a GPI pulse would start and stop the cyron clock from the clock operators unit at the stadium. Is there a known list of Clock systems that will interface with a chyron system?

Thanks
Andrew

The Lyric software can display a clock from the stadium through intelligent interface however the clock will not be active or counting down. Our CAL application software can do this however, a software writer would have to write the application to work correctly. CAL (Chyron Abstraction Layer) is a a software developer kit for 3rd party developers. FOX sports uses this for the FOX Box which updates along the top of the screen during their sporting telecasts. The use the DUET LEX single channel for this application. If you are using the DUET SD with 2 VGE's, Lyric can run on one channel and the CAL application could run on the second channel. If you are using the DUET LEX, only Lyric or CAL can run, but not both at the same time.
