Ok, so maybe if I break it down into the most important question I will get an answer in regards to crawls in lyric.

When I create a crawl, instead of crawling onto the screen, it simply appears and begins crawling until the string is finished. Also, when it loops, instead of crawling onto the screen, it will once again just appear midway through the string. It also refuses to restart the previous string until the last crawl is completly finished.

Im looking for something more fluid can anyone point me in the right direction here??

Probably best to try to get an old Infinit/Max/Maxine and crawl with that.
Lyric is no good at doing continuous crawls. If it was, no one would buy NewsCrawl.
To just deal with what you've got, just shift your crawl over until it's off screen before you start it. To repeat without a huge gap, you have to manually place the text on the crawl multiple times and make sure you do it enough to cover your segment.

Wow thats disappointing.

But thank you, you've saved me a lot of time beating my head against my desk.

A lot of us who answer the questions on this message board have been working long days at NAB and have not been able to answer questions on these forums. Thank you for your patience.

There is a third party plugin that we do not support, but it will perform a continuous crawl from a text file. An update on the text file will dynamically update the crawl. If you pm me your email address I will send it to you.

Marty corrects me (he's so knowledgable! Thanks jM.)

The continuous crawl plugin is in-house , not 3rd party It's 'as is' for a demo of LEIF capabilities, not unsupported.
