A minor problem has arisen in HyperX3 running Lyric 7.xx when using profiles from older versions of Lyric. The problem manifests itself with various symptoms; among the symptoms are:

1) HD Frame Buffer settings reverting to NTSC...

2) Frame Buffer 1 & 2 switching on their own...

3) A "Pre-Load Failure" error...

4) Failure to render to air, even though eFX plug-in is installed...

While the symptoms are varied, they stem from a single problem: reading user profiles that have perpetuated from older versions of Lyric and contain invalid and/or corrupt information. While the symptoms seem severe, the interim solution to this is relatively simple (less than 5 min):

1) Close Lyric.

2) In WINDOWS EXPLORER, go to C:\WINDOWS\PROGRAM FILES\CHYRON\LYRIC 7.XX\

3) Find & double-click "LyricUnregister.exe" and confirm all warnings.

4 Relaunch Lyric, note that it will come back to factory settings.

5) In CONFIG > HARDWARE, reset your video standard and genlock settings and turn off the video input layer.

6) In CONFIG > PREFERENCES, manually redirect Default Pathways to the desired directory (close PREFs).

7) On the BROWSER window, manually redirect to the desired data source.

8) In CONFIG > CANVAS RESOLUTION, manually set canvas to desired resolution.

9) In CONFIG > SAVE USER PROFILE, save over the old profile or create a new one.

DO NOT RELOAD OLD PROFILE!!!

Thanks for listening.
