We are trying to use animated lower 3rd cgs in our newscasts. I have the template built and have the template in the ENPS rundown. My question is about advancing the lower 3rds in the MOS Playlist. When we had static lowere 3rds all we had to do to advance was hit F5 and it would advance.
With the new animated ones, after the first cg is on air, we have to hit "stop" then check the next line of the playlist, hit "take" and then finally "play". There has to be a faster way to advance them but our knowledge of Lyric is very limited.
We are using Lyric 5.25. Any help would be great!

By 'animated' are you referring to movie objects? Or are these graphic elements animated within Lyric. If the former, are you using pause/ignore pauses to keep the movie running?

It's an animated movie, actually a flipbook targa background for the lower 3rd. The animation isn't stopping, I'm talking about the actual mos playlist, going from one lower 3rd cg to the next. Having to stop the playlist, click on the next cg in the playlist, hitting "take" and then "play" again.
It's just a very long process to advance to the next cg in the playlist, especially in a live newscast. I'm sure there is a better way to do it, but we had little to no training when we got our system installed.

Well, if you're using a flipbook or a movie object and it's not stopping, I am assuming that you're using some kind of pause, right? Are you releasing that before advancing from CG to CG?

It could also be a really long message length. When you are in a playlist it doesn't cue up the next message until the first one has reached the end of the timeline. If the message itself is really long, you might try shortening that up if you can.
