View Full Version : Spontaneous channel flip
This kinda sounds like a software problem, except our chief graphics guy says it happened once in a great while before we upgraded from 4.14 but seems to be getting more frequent.
We have a two-channel Duet SD, Lyric 5.2 build 725. Spontaneously, a message will "flip" to display on the wrong channel; then, all further messages will display on that channel. Closing Lyric & restarting fixes the problem. It had been a "once-every-few-months" thing but it's become more frequent and now has happened three times in the last week.
Any good ideas?

Are there any release notes for the different builds? It would be handy to be able to decide if it would be beneficial for us to upgrade or not if we could see what's been fixed/changed/broken..

Do we know if this release also addresses the spell-check issue?
How do I go about getting a login/password for the FTP site? I suppose I need to call Support?

Here's the link for Lyric 5.2 build 742 SD/HD:
ftp://ftp.chyron.com/pub/software/Lyric/Test/Lyric_SDHD_5.21_742_Oct052005.exe
Extraction password dartgarbs. Use the same license as your 5.2 build 725. Not sure if it addresses the spell check issue, but give it a go if you want. Install it into a new directory, for example:
C:\Program Files\Chyron\Lyric_521_742\
Hope this helps!

Got it. Too early to tell whether it helps the channel flips, but it does fix the spell check.
Thanks!

Well, as it turns out it does NOT help the channel flips...
